Salonpreneur has completed its first chapter

After its first year and four editions, Salonpreneur Magazine has paused in its quarterly print and digital subscription format.

Created by Sue Davies as an independent business publication for salon, beauty and wellness professionals, it brought together practical insight, expert features and honest conversations for those building sustainable businesses and careers.

Sue’s wider work continues through client journey strategy, online visibility, business support and the Inspiring Salon Professionals podcast.

Four editions. One independent voice.

Across its first year, Salonpreneur Magazine brought together contributors, conversations and features created to support salon, beauty and wellness professionals in business and in life.

The editions explored visibility, mindset, education, leadership, client experience, wellbeing, marketing, industry challenges and the realities of building sustainable businesses and careers.

The quarterly magazine is now out of circulation, but its purpose, conversations and archive will continue to be signposted through Sue Davies.

Salonpreneur archive & updates

Salonpreneur Magazine is no longer being produced as a quarterly publication, but selected reflections, archive notes and future updates will continue through Sue Davies on Substack.

This is where Sue will share what may come next, revisit some of the conversations from the magazine, and continue exploring visibility, business, client experience and sustainable careers in the salon, beauty and wellness industries.

Inspiring Salon Professionals

The conversations behind Salonpreneur have always been part of a wider mission: supporting people in the salon, beauty and wellness industries to build businesses and careers that feel more sustainable, human and grounded.

The Inspiring Salon Professionals podcast continues that work through honest conversations, industry insight and real stories from people shaping the sector.

Work with me

Sue’s work now focuses on helping salon, beauty, wellness and service-based businesses become easier to find, clearer to choose and better at creating client experiences that feel human, thoughtful and trusted.

Through client journey strategy, online visibility support, business resources and practical consultancy, Sue helps business owners see how they are being found, chosen and experienced by the people they want to reach.

Sexualisation of the Industry Report

Salonpreneur’s work also included the Boundaries Survey, exploring the sexualisation of the industry and inappropriate approaches, safety, and professional boundaries within the beauty, hair and wellness industries.

A follow-up industry report is currently being prepared and will be shared through Sue Davies once available.

The survey remains open while the report is being prepared for data and anecdotal evidence.

❤️ Thank You ❤️

Salonpreneur Magazine was only possible because of the people who believed in it, contributed to it, read it, shared it and supported it.

Thank you to the collaborative columnists, contributors, advertisers, partners, subscribers and readers who helped bring the magazine to life across its first year and four editions.

This chapter is complete, but the conversations, connections and purpose behind it continue.

With sincere thanks,
Sue Davies
